Larry was born and raised in the Akron, Ohio area and while attending Cuyahoga Falls High School (Class of 1983) was bitten by the proverbial 'Acting Bug' while performing in productions of 'Brigadoon' (yes, he did have to wear a kilt and received the coveted 'Best Looking Legs' award) during his Junior year and 'Hello Dolly' during his Senior year.
Since moving to Lakeland, Florida in December of 1990 (and boy has he moved: Lakeland > Largo > Tarpon Springs > Tampa > Holiday and now Clearwater... at least for a little while), Larry has been involved in a number of stage productions, TV commercials and independent short video/film projects in the central Florida area.
Improvisational comedy has been at the heart of all that Larry has been involved in since 1998, when he entered the strange and bizarre world of improvisational comedy at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, first as a volunteer, then as a SAK U student and finally performing as a 'Lab Rat'.
Larry has studied improv at SAK University (www.sak.com) with Ryan Smith, Lyle Moon, Lauren Pritchard, Lisa Frederickson, James Newport, Megan Whyte and Jay Hopkins; with Mitch Osborn at Comedy Buffet (Winter Haven); with Jill Bernard, Mark Sutton (Annoyance Productions - Chicago, www.annoyanceproductions.com), Stacey Hallal and Asaf Ronen (www.yesand.com) at the Miami Improv Festival (MIF) 2005 (www.miamiimprovfestival.com); with Dave Razowsky (Second City - LA, www.secondcity.com), Mark Sutton and Eli Newell (United Citizens Brigade - NYC, www.uprightcitizensbrigade.com) at the MIF 2006 and with Charna Halpern (iO Chicago, formerly Improv Olympics, www.iochicago.net), David Razowsky and Mark Sutton at the MIF 2007.
Larry is a co-founder, performer and instructor with Bay Area Improv Theatre (BAIT). Check out the BAIT website (www.tampabait.com) for info on all of our shows and workshops. Larry's friend, 'Tom', asks that you visit his MySpace profile at www.myspace.com/larrybee7.
